Dr. Sandeep Bachu

Dr. Sandeep Bachu completed his basic medical education from NTR Health university, Andhra Pradesh while doing his MBBS he received Gold Medal in Ophthalmology. He then Specialised in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli, and Obtained DNB degree in 2010. He did a Surgical Vitreo-Retina Fellowship from Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore ( 2010- 2012), Later he joined as a consultant at Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore.He received an International Council of Ophthalmology fellowship in Ocular Immunology & Uveitis from Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA in 2014. He did an Observership in Ocular Oncology under Dr. Shields at Wills Eye Hospital, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. He is well trained in Microincision vitrectomy surgery (MIVS) 25 & 23 Gauge. His areas of interest are Retinal Surgery, Diabetic Retinopathy, Endophthalmitis and Macular Degenerations. He has presented several papers and posters at conferences, published articles in peer-reviewed journals.He has a keen interest in academics, research, and an aspiration to practice evidence based medicine.
