We have visited for the diabetes management for my father with hba1c and other reports related to diabetes. Our intention was to explain that my dad is getting weaker day by day and wanted to reconsider the dosage of the medication that we take. But, rather than addressing the issue with the latest reports (these are the reports suggested by previous doctors for the purpose of dosage evaluation), doctor kept on insisting us to get other reports from her “preferred diagnostic centre” and wanted us to revisit. She hardly listened to us. I have a basic understanding (from my previous experiences with various other Diabetologists in Bangalore from reputable hospitals) that HBA1C is the preferred report for a regular diabetes checkup to assess the dosage changes.
