Dr Manjula Anagani (Padmasree) is an ObGyn Specialist and a Laparoscopic Surgeon whohas set a new standard of excellence globally for female surgeons with her dedicatedcontributions to the field over the last three decades. She pioneered the art of Laparoscopy inthe late '90s when it was an emerging technology and was primarily still a 'Man’s World,'wherein all the techniques and equipment that came about were designed to the ergonomicsof the male surgeon. Notably, she utilised Autologous Stem Cells for EndometrialRegeneration and introduced a minimally invasive technique for Neovagina creation.A forerunner in Robotic Surgery, she performed Asia Pacific's first Gynae Robotic Surgery.As a DNB teacher since 2006 and faculty for prestigious institutes, she has trained over 500Gynaecologists. Her sense of service led to the formation of "Prathyusha Support" - an NGOfor destitute women, of which she is a co-founder. This organisation conducts severalactivities to increase awareness about women’s health in addition to supporting women indistress.Dr Manjula Anagani has received many Healthcare Excellence Awards and FOGSI Awards,and her research work is published in many national and international journals. She has manychapters to her credit and has co-authored a textbook, 'Approach to GynaecologicalEmergencies.'Her journey towards achieving higher goals continues.
