Dr. Lakshmi Devi Appasani

Dr. Lakshmi Devi Appasani is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist at Rainbow Hospitals with special focus in all Obstetric management and High risk pregnancies, Diagnostic laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Dr. Lakshmi completed her MBBS from University of NTR health sciences in 2004 and MS in OBG. Prior to Joining Rainbow Hospitals Dr. Lakshmi worked as the Registrar of Obstetrics at Fernandez Hospital Hyderabad. She has also been a Senior Resident of the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education Research, Chandigarh as well as a Consultant Gynaecologist and Obstetrician at Continental Hospitals, Hyderabad. Dr. Lakshmi has attained expertise in the management of difficult deliveries, instrumentation; emergency cesarean surgery; emergency hysterectomy; aside from debulking & other oncological surgeries. She is also a specialist in the management of infertility; chorionic villous sampling; hysteroscopy/colposcopy; cardiotocographic monitoring of fetus and labour; intra-uterine transfusion; and transabdominal/transvaginal scans. A member of the Indian Medical Council & Federation of Obstetric & Gynecological Society of India, she secured the best outgoing student award in Andhra Medical College as well as the first position in her MS (OBG).
