Dr. K.Hari Babu

I visited Anitha Nursing Home on the 28th to collect my blood test reports and for a consultation. I live in Australia and make it a point to visit this hospital whenever I come to India for my regular health check-ups. Until now, I have trusted the hospital based on my previous visits.

However, this recent experience was quite disappointing.

For this visit, I paid approximately ₹13,000 for tests, consultation, and prescribed medicines. I was diagnosed with iron deficiency and was referred for an iron infusion on the same day. I purchased all the prescribed items and handed them over to the nurse, who then took me to a bed for the procedure. The infusion took about one hour.

After the procedure was completed and I was about to leave, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional ₹1,000 for the one-hour procedure. This came as an absolute shock, as this charge was never communicated beforehand. At no point during the consultation or before starting the infusion was I informed about this additional fee.

I tried to escalate the matter to Dr. Mr. K. Hari Babu, but unfortunately, the situation was not handled satisfactorily, and I felt compelled to pay the amount.

Beyond the billing issue, I was extremely concerned about the professionalism of the front desk staff. The male receptionist appeared unkempt and unhygienic, was chewing something while speaking to patients, and spoke rudely using inappropriate language. What was even more disappointing was that this behavior seemed to be tolerated and indirectly encouraged.

Given this experience, I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning in the future.

Strengths:

1) Dr Haribabu listens patiently and his treatment works.

Areas of improvement:

1) Hospital does not accept prescription charges through card. However, accept it for lab tests.

2) Medicines can only be bought in the medical shop attached. Today, I had went to 3 other shops and every one is saying that Dr Haribabu's medicines cannot be bought from other shops. I had to spend Rs690 for medicines. I think it is a little higher side.

3) Nurses and support staff are poorly skilled. BP checking lady kept it on for 5min to check BP.

4) I went to check check for medicines today 3/29 and shop is closed. There were 5-6 girls that work in hospital, busy with mobile phones in lobby. Nobody had a courtesy to look at me while answering the question about medical shop working hours.

I took my mother to this doctor, and the moment we reached, he immediately insisted on admitting her and even suggested putting her on a stretcher. ** ** ********* ****

I have visited this doctor this week for fever, cold and cough.

1. Not interested in seeing the reports of the checkups done.

2. No professionalism either for the doctor or for staff.
