Dr. Harini Atturu

Dr. Harini Atturu is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, currently practicing Liaison Psychiatry at CARE Hitech Hospital (since 2017) and KIMS, Gachibowli (since 2018). Over the years, she has also worked with several leading hospitals in Hyderabad, including Rainbow Children’s Hospital (Banjara Hills), Continental Hospital, and Femcity Hospital.Dr. Harini, completed her MBBS from the reputed Kurnool Medical College in 2004. She moved to the UK and worked for nearly 12 years in NHS before returning to India. She worked across West Yorkshire, North Western Deanery, and Sheffield. She holds an MSc in Psychiatry from the prestigious University of Manchester and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych, UK). She has also received specialised training in the assessment and management of Adult ADHD and Adult Autism. Her UK experience includes working in Adult Intellectual Disability services, Drug & Alcohol Addiction services, and facilitating self-help CBT programs for the mental health charity Mind.Dr. Harini’s research and clinical work have been recognised internationally, with presentations at conferences in Barcelona, Berlin, Vienna, Halifax, Madrid, Lisbon, Dubai, Budapest, and Milan. She is an author and co-author of several publications and a member of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK) and the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology. She has also served as an OSCE examiner and medical student facilitator for the University of Manchester and Salford Royal Infirmary, and was a Guest Faculty for MBA Healthcare Management at the University of Hyderabad.In addition to psychiatry, Dr. Harini holds a Diploma in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland, a Postgraduate qualification in Child & Adolescent Mental Health (Pathways, India), and is a Certified Therapeutic Play Practitioner for the Differently Abled (National Association for Play Therapy, India). She has also worked as Chief Domain Expert & Medical Advisor for CognitiveBotics, an AI-based autism intervention platform, leading a year-long prospective study published in a reputed journal. She further expanded her expertise with leadership programs from The Wharton School and Indian School of Business (ISB).Passionate about mental health awareness, Dr. Harini regularly delivers talks at conferences, corporate wellness programs, and community awareness initiatives. She follows a holistic Bio-Psycho-Social approach, aiming to address the root cause rather than just the symptoms. She is known for her compassionate, holistic approach; she blends international expertise with personalised care to help patients achieve lasting mental well-being.
