Dr. Babaiah M

Dr. M. Babaiah, a Chief Radiatiotion oncologist and Medical Director of national repute, serves as Medical Director at American Oncology Institute and has made tremendous strides in improving cancer care in India. He completed his MBBS from Kurnool Medical College in 1975 and MD from AIIMS in 1981. He has also completed training programs at Royal Marsden Medical Hospital in London and Booth Memorial Medical Center in New York.Outside of clinical activities and leadership in the cancer community, Dr. Babaiah has received many awards for his service to the patients of India, including the: Nargis Dutt Foundation Award (1992); Vaidyashiromani Award (1997); Pioneer in Oncology Award (2009); and Rayalaseema Ratna Award (2011). Most recently, in March 2012, the Government of Andhra Pradesh presented Dr. Babaiah the Ugadi Puraskaram Award.
