Dr. Aana Shaunak Shah

Dr. Aana Shah is a Consultant Psychiatrist currently practising at Asha Neuromodulation Clinic (ANC), Kokapet (3-6 PM daily), and Aster Prime Hospital, Ameerpet, Hyderabad (9-11 AM, Monday/Wednesday/Saturday). She offers both in-person consultations and online appointments.She holds an MD in Psychiatry from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad (Gold Medalist) and has completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Women’s Mental Health from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. Dr. Aana also holds the Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK (MRCPsych).Dr. Aana is a Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in adult, child, adolescent, and perinatal mental health. She aims to diagnose and provide medical/therapeutic support for a wide range of conditions, including Depression, Anxiety/Panic Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Insomnia/Sleep Disorders, Schizophrenia, Eating Disorders, PTSD, cPTSD, Dissociation, and Grief; Personality Disorders; Substance Use Disorders (Dependence) as well as Gender Incongruence/Gender Identity Disorders. She has specialised experience in treating perinatal and women's mental health issues like postpartum depression, psychosis, and anxiety; PMDD; and sexual health issues for women, and mental health issues in the perimenopausal age. Dr. Aana also works with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD (child & adult), autism, and neurodivergence. Her approach is evidence-based and compassionate, with a focus on holistic, personalised care.
