Dr. Ajay Varun Reddy

Dr. Ajay Varun Reddy has over 12 years of experience in surgical departments at leading hospitals in India. Having completed his initial general surgical training, he pursued super specialisation in advanced surgical oncology (including thoracic, gastrointestinal and gynecologic oncology) at the prestigious and world-renowned Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai–the largest referral center for cancer care in India.He later pursued his interest in Advanced Laparoscopy and Robotics through an RGUHS university sponsored one year fellowship in Minimal Access & Robotic Surgical Oncology (FMASO). During the same time he was offered the DaVinci Robotic Surgeon Certification (Sunnyvale, California, USA).His current field of interest is in Minimally Invasive Pelvic Oncology, Gastrointestinal Oncology including peritoneal surface malignancies and Advanced Retroperitoneal Tumors.His work also involves vast experience in treating advanced gynecologic malignancies including aggressive cytoreductive surgeries, en-bloc resections for complex pediatric malignancies including retroperitoneal neuroblastomas/sarcomas, and oncoplastic surgeries for breast cancer.Having received mentorship in all facets of minimally invasive surgical oncology (including both laparoscopic and robotic procedures), he has developed a keen interest in several innovative surgical techniques, such as; RABIT (Robotic Scarless Thyroidectomy) rINDIA (Robotic Neck Dissections) Sphincter-saving rectal cancer surgeries (Robotic ISR) PIPAC (pressurized intraperitoneal aerosol chemotherapy) VEIL (Video Endoscopic Inguinal Dissections)He has conducted numerous operative workshops and is credited with performing the FIRST LIVE SURGICAL WORKSHOP on “Robotic Scarless Thyroidectomy” in the Telugu States.
