Hello, my son was born in Canada premature with very low birth weight. At the age of 2.5 years, he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) after an assessment with Development Pediatrician. We tried several Speech therapies and Occupational therapies in Canada including several government programs and also out of our own pocket with no avail. Our Kid was not able to utter a single word even post intense therapies in Canada. Seeing no improvements and totally frustrated with the public healthcare system policies in Canada, we set our eyes on finding credible therapies in India especially Hyderabad during Covid times.

We found lots of good reviews and informational videos on YouTube by Dr. Premanth Balla and had quick word with him over a call. He quickly grasped our child’s condition and advised us to come to India for assessment and therapy. Having gained enough confidence after the initial discussion, we decided to come home as one last resort. We met him at his Phonics Multi speciality hospital where he did an initial assessment and obtained all of my son’s medical history. He keenly observed our kid for 10 days and gave the correct and accurate diagnosis as ADHD with DSL( delayed speech and language). Most of the kids come here with wrong diagnosis as autism even though kid has a small neurological problem. Dr. Premnath usually makes a diagnosis clinically based on child behaviour and observing the kid for 10-15 days but not based on any questionnaires filled by parents.

We started intense therapies with the Doctor and within a week we found lots of changes in the kid especially his global awareness. We had lot of struggles initially and Dr. Premnath is exceptional to deal with each issue as we progressed with the therapies. He had minimal eye contact which improved over a period of time. He had a lot of sleep disturbances which gradually resolved to the point that he can sleep with minimal adult supervision in the night. Doctor helped in taming and resolving my kid’s behavioural issues such as biting, hitting, pulling hair etc. With the help of this wonderful doctor, we saw our kid speak the initial words just after 6 months of therapy. He can now recognize people with their names, alphabets and numbers and communicate his needs in one-two words effectively. We have seen all the above improvements and more within a span of just 1.5 years and hoping for more to come.

He is the best Neuro-rehabilitation doctor and Speech Pathologist whose approach is very different, logical and science-based to bring miracles into lives of such kids and parents. He has many accolades to his name and it reflects in his skill and passion towards well-being of his patients. He also treats Adults with numerous conditions at his clinic equally well. He patiently listens and acts upon Parents complaints giving them enough support and confidence. I am extremely confident of recommending and referring him to Parents with kids with learning delays and difficulties. Personally, his work is nothing short of a miracle which is similar to ones portrayed in the web series such as ‘Good Doctor’ or ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.

In a world where every word counts and people judge you based on how and what you speak, finding a doctor who is genuine and skilled is truly a rarity. Dr. Premnath Balla is one of those exceptional individuals.

Family and relatives used to say that I speak very fast and they can't hear me. These kinds of statements used to affect me psychologically and reduce my confidence. So, since childhood, I was never used to talking much, and I have become somewhat of an introvert.

When I first talked to Dr. Balla about my low voice and speech problems, he explained simply what was causing them. He also made me feel confident about how we would fix them together. Additionally, he asked about other issues like stiff neck and snoring, which I do have. I was surprised when Dr. Balla inquired about these. He patiently explained the core issue and the connection between my stiff neck problem and voice/speech problem.

I first met Dr. Premnath Sir on October 9th, 2023, for the initial diagnosis, and my treatment journey with him officially began on October 25th, 2023. In the initial days of treatment, I was a bit unsure about Dr. Premnath Sir's approach, especially since many YouTube videos suggested speech practices for similar issues. Most of the doctors won't take it in a right way when we question their treatment and capabilities, but I decided to share my doubts with him. To my surprise, he patiently took extra time to explain to me what a Laryngeal Spasm is, how it affects speech and voice, and its potential side effects.

During this time, I also had the opportunity to meet some of his other patients ( especially specialist Doctors like Radiologists Physicians etc )who all spoke positively about the treatment they were receiving and the results they were seeing. Hearing their experiences significantly boosted my confidence in Dr. Premnath Sir's approach. Within a few days, I noticed one positive change: I woke up without any neck pain, and my neck became much more flexible. Additionally, my sleep pattern improved. As the days passed, Dr. Premnath Sir's treatment sometimes caused me pain, but I reassured myself that it was for my better future. As the days passed, I could definitely see a change in my voice and speech. While the speed hasn't completely reduced, but there's certainly a significant improvement in both my voice and speech.

I no longer hesitate to speak, and even if my speech becomes fast at times, I am more aware and able to control it. After few more sessions, I am confident that there will be even more improvement. Initially I thought this clinic sees adult patients but surprisingly have seen lots of small kids with Neuro problems like Autism & speech delays & behavior problems & learning problems getting treatment from Dr Premnath sir & All the parents are very happy with the progress they are seeing that patients are coming from all over the world which really inspired me a lot.

I have a very unusual disorder of speaking problem related to breath wherein I am unable to get support of breath while speaking, leading to breathlessness, shaky voice, voice breaks and tremors in certain parts of the body particularly during social gatherings and speaking to strangers. I hardly remember from when I was facing this problem may be approx. when Iam 18 years old. When I was 25 years old, for the first time I consulted a Doctor through my father who is also a Doctor and thereafter consulted several neurologists, physiatrists and all of them have diagnosed it as anxiety, nervous, physiological disorders and medicines were given on that line. Now Iam aged 54 years and being in Legal Profession, all these years Iam unable to excel in the said profession as the main thing is to represent before the Courts. We have a 6 yr old child on the spectrum and like many parents, we explored multiple therapy options over the last 3 years. We went to different therapists in various cities, tried 3-4 therapies at a time — speech, OT, ABA, etc. Each therapist claimed that we’ll see significant improvement in 4–6 months.
