Both Maulana Azad Medical College and Vardhman Mahavir Medical College have been in the top 10 medical colleges of India. His fellowship was accredited by British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. After finishing his fellowship, he has moved back to India and joined CK Birla Hospital for Women, Gurugram as a consultant orthopaedic and foot & ankle surgeon.Dr Chawla has a diverse local as well as overseas experience of managing most of the orthopaedic problems including trauma, arthroplasty as well as arthroscopy. Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issue
Doctor paid full attention to the issue, even though it was a small one. He was very patient and offered to wait for us to get an XRay done and revisit after an hour even though his time in the hospital was over.
He explained in detail the plus and minus of getting a bunion surgery done.

Hoped for better: Wait time
I had gone for a foot injury of my 72 year old mother-in-law which we suspected to be a hairline fracture. We arrived well before the appointment time and informed the attendant. But the doctor arrived 30 minutes after the appointment time (there was nobody before us)We then had to wait again for more than 30 minutes for the doctor to come back from his rounds to show him the X-Ray.We tried to complain that overall it too us 2.5 hours for a simple case of hairline fracture (with overall consultation time of 20 minutes) even when there were no other waiting patients and even for such an old patient. The doctor told us we should keep 2-3 hours free for an OPD appointment in CK Birla hospital. He also said if he wants to get it done faster we should visit his private clinic. I am not aware why the doctor was repeatedly late and he didn't try to explain. However he was clearly unempathetic *** ********* ** ********* *******

The Doctor was thorough in their examination and explained everything very well, using visual aids. I have no complaints with the Doctor apart from the delay. I had booked an appointment for 6 and got a all asking me to come by 6:30. I reached a few minutes before 6:30 but I wasn’t able to access the Doctor before 6:50. I had a work call at 7:30 and my appointment got over at 7:28. As much as everything else went in support of the Doctor, the delay caused significant anxiety and I wish I had been informed to come at 7. I would’ve just rescheduled my call, in that case.
