I have had the most convenient and smoothest lasik experience under Dr. Aditi (CLIO). At the first step when I starting my research for this procedure I found that CLIO was highly recommended on google . For my second step, when I called them I found their telephonic coordinator to be very helpful; not only was she very thorough with all the information she provided, she also ensured that she made arrangements as per my schedule which required them to start earlier than their office time. She even further sent my the address on google map along with all the other information which I thought was very considerate. Third, when I met Dr. Aditi for the Pre-op she was very very kind and gentle, she educated me thoroughly and later that day even spoke to my Mother on a call to reassure her. I have to salute her patience and kindness (especially since my mom called her after 9pm without any prior notice or intimation. Moms Lol). Day of the surgery was great. She was her brilliant self and made the procedure very comfortable for me. Really aimed at the best outcome for me. Also I have to add that due to time constraints at my end, Dr. Aditi was extremely kind to come early for me on all the 3 occasions; the pre-op, surgury day and post op. I would highly recommend her; for her skills, kindness, patience and virtues.
Dr Aditi conducted a detailed examination and gave us a thorough explanation. She was very detailed, answered questions patiently, calm, reassuring and very friendly. It was our first visit and I was accompanying my mother who needed the eye examination. But since she inspired so much confidence, I have fixed an appointment to see her myself for LASIK surgery.
I was very satisfied with how doctor explained the issue. *** ** **** ************* ****** *** I would always visit her for eye checkup.
Dr. Aditi treated my father as if he was a family member during all my meetings with him, before Surgery, and after. The surgery was undoubtedly successful, and the results were as amazing. If he weren't specialized, I'd see her for everything! Totally satisfied with my experience. 🙂
Q: Who is an Ophthalmologist?
A: An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor specialised in vision and eye care. Unlike other specialisations in eye care, ophthalmologists attend to almost all kinds of eye disorders and related issues. Since they are doctors, they can refer patients to other specialists even if the disease is not eye related.
Q: Is an Ophthalmologist different from an Optometrist?
A: Yes. Both of them are very much different. Although ophthalmologists and optometrists both provide vision and eye care, an optometrist attends to common eye disorders and certain chronic diseases like glaucoma, while an ophthalmologist, along with the common disorders, can take up more complex eye disorders that even require surgery.
Q: Can an Ophthalmologist perform surgery?
A: Yes, ophthalmologists can perform surgery as they tend to have years of training and experience. Many ophthalmologists obtain subspecialty training in areas like eyelid surgery, retinal surgery or pediatric surgery. Others perform surgery based on requirements of the local hospitals or surgical centres.
Q: How can an Ophthalmologist help for Cataract?
A: Ophthalmologists initially perform eye exams like slit-lamp exam, retinal exam, and visual acuity test. Once cataract is diagnosed, there are certain steps that the patient should follow. Cataract can be removed only with surgery. During surgery, the eye’s natural cloudy lens is replaced by an artificial lens by the surgeon, thus resolving the issue.
Q: Should one visit an Ophthalmologist for contact lenses?
A: An ophthalmologist can indeed prescribe contact lenses. Even optometrists can prescribe contact lenses and hence it is not necessary that one should visit an ophthalmologist only. Both of them can perform eye exams for the same and the patient can visit either of them
