I was suffering from this jaw pain for a long time I had shown to Dentist in Roorkee, who advised me for Physiotherapy and some medication, after some sessions issue settled down. I think it was then the starting of the TMJ issue, had my dentist diagnosed properly then I would not have reached this stage when suddenly one day in September 2022, I was unable to open my mouth and it was so much painful, I approached my regular dentist who said it was a muscular problem and gave muscle relaxant which did help me as I could eat now. The spasms still continued especially at the right side and my mouth could not open freely as the jaws would pain. I was getting constant jaw locking issue and pain. Whenever I used to open my mouth wide (for eating or yawning) there was unbearable pain. I had no idea what was the trouble, sometimes in the middle of the night the spasmodic pain would start and I could not sleep. My regular dentist would tell that its muscular and will sort itself This continued for some time and I consulted few more Dentists in Roorkee but to no avail. On recommendation of one of the Dentist I got an OPG done but that could not help diagnose, I even visited ENT specialist as the pain was continuous and would radiate from my right ear and downwards, he too could not provide me any permanent relief.

In November 2022, I visited my Dentist friends Dr. Puneet Kalra & his wife Dr. Shivani Kalra at Bikaner and he advised to carry out CBCT of TMJ, It was then the actual problem was diagnosed. Since I could not stay long and it required repeated visits, so they recommended me to visit Dr. Richa at Gurugram.

I spoke with her on 6.12.2022 and shared the CBCT reports, after thoroughly studying the same she called back and gave an appointment and advised to carry out some tests and MRI of the TMJ for thorough understanding and root cause analysis. She had understood the underlying problem.

So on 13.12.2022 was my first appointment. She thoroughly examined me and explained the whole issue. Dr. Richa briefed me the treatment procedure stepwise and assured that though its a lengthy treatment involving several visits but will provide relief in due course of treatment and time. She also assured that the quality of life would be better surely. but gradually. Not to expect results overnight as the joint deterioration has happened gradually.

It is now 2 months of treatment at Dental Concept, and there is improvement in my condition after regularly using the splints/night guard and timely and regular visits. After each visit Dr. Richa and her staff would ensure to call for feedback and updates and would explain the importance of wearing the splint/night guard regularly. My overall condition is now better than what it was 2 months ago. Its still a long way to go and I am committed for it.

I would recommend to consult Dr. Richa for treatment If you're suffering from TMJ/locked jaw issue, clicking sound of the jaw or restricted opening of the mouth, all these could be associated with disorder of the TM Joint - and she has the knowledge and expertise. She will surely help set the expectations right and ensure the treatment moves forward in the right direction and help improve the quality of life.

I’ve had issues with my left TMJ for over past 2 years- causing bite issues, muscle imbalances and pain in my head and neck. I couldn’t open my mouth more than an inch or two. He is a true professional; extremely good at accurate diagnosis and precise treatment planning and delivery. After so many years, he still remembers specifically which tooth has what problem. I went for severe tooth ache and I was properly explained the issue and was recommended I go for 1 RCT and 1 filling. The procedure was absolutely painless and performed with utmost professionalism. This is my 2nd RCT. The first was in my hometown Alwar and was not good which instilled fear of dentists in me. But this time was different. Proper local anaesthesia was administered which made the complicated deep rooted RTC really comfortable for me. After care was also properly explained. He is a very good communicator, very patient and proficient in the diversity of dental processes and techniques He has remained ahead of the curve with latest emerging dental technologies. The staff is efficient and clinic well maintained providing pleasing ambience. Dr. (Mrs.) Dhanda is also a very accomplished dentist who is very capably managing my grandson's complete transformation from prodruting teeth. Both attend personally to their patients which is a big plus. Very highly recommended.

My experience with Dr. Richa Dhanda has been phenomenal. Thanks to her, dental checkups have neither been painful nor scary. My treatment started a while back and was bound to be a long one, little did we know COVID-19 had its own role to play too. However, Dr. Richa made sure that there were no major setbacks, while taking all safety precautions. She has been extremely patient with me and my tooth. The entire process, including the surgeries, was extremely effective and healing was painless. I cannot thank Dr. Richa enough for restoring my confidence in my smile!

I started experiencing extreme stiffness and pain in my ears to begin with when I was travelling for work in dec 2022. I initially attributed to chanegs in air pressure and travel fatigue but his became more prominent. Visits from ENT hinted an issue for TMJ problem and asked to refer specialist for that. That's when I consulted Dr Richa for the treatmenr and its been 6 months and I am having relief with my issue. My migraine has gone down and I can now speak on office calls without feeling any naw fatigue or spasm.

Currently I have been given a brace that I have to wear every night which further relaxes the muscles. May sound difficult one gets used to it 2-3 nights. As per doc, the need for this can now be reversed and one may not have to wear every single night and can just be limited to few nights per week.

The treatment is slow and methodical. It will take few iterations ans followups but it's worth the effort. Totally recommended.
