City Hospital was established in the heart of the city of Ernakulam in 1971 by a group of highly experienced doctors. It had many unique features, such as the first 24hr Casualty. It was one of the leading multispeciality hospital and had in its team many doctors renowned in the fields of surgery, Ortho, Cardio Thorax, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Paediatrics and Medicine. It offered a wide range of special services and delivered high quality healthcare with personal touch. With the retirement and ill health and the shifting of practice of many of the prominent doctors, the focus and prominence of City Hospital went into a period of decline.In July 2011, Mr.Basheeruddin, a technocrat, Managing Director of Furnace Fabrica, a Mumbai based company engaged in supply and erection of various kinds of plants and equipment internationally, took over the management by acquiring majority shares, along with some of his well wishers.They wanted to rejuvenate the hospital and give it a new direction & purpose, to restore it to its old glory. Their aim is to provide high quality medical care with focus on compassion and affordability. Helping to fulfill their high aims two young dynamic members of the medical profession – an experienced Neuro Surgeon and Dr.Sanam Basheer, a very experienced Obstetrics and Gynecologist skilled in laparoscopic surgeries. They are on the Director Board and are ably helped by other members.

Doctor did not listen to the symptoms *** **** ** ****** ********. He only referred to visit a hospital in case pain continues , did not prescribe a pain killer injection saying that you need to get it at the hospital only. We kept on saying that patient is in too much pain and he can’t move and requested to prescribe injection so that we can get a nurse at home to administer the same but he refused. What is the point of online consultation if doctor is not prescribing medication

doctor is impatient in listening symptoms & would hurry to suggest tests & priscription, even after test are done, he would not be ready to provide medication & would refer to other डॉक्टर, I would not recommend dcotor for practo consultation

I am a woman from Germany travelling on my own in India. I got this heavy pain and was surely not happy going to an Indian hospital/doctor for a gynecology issue. But this (female) doctor is so sensitive and explains everything with so much patience that I absolutely would recommend to every woman. *** ***** ** **** ** ********* ********* *** ** **** ******* *** ************** Of course I don’t like to go to any hospital but this doctor I would contact any time again. Dr. Sanam Basheer is a very competent obstetrician in Kochi. Her approach, diagnosis and timely action to resolve complex pregnancy issues are indeed commendable! I am very thankful to her and the entire team at City Hospital for providing such professional and friendly care during my pregnancy, while I had acquired gestational diabetes and some other complications. Dr. Sanam motivated me all through my pregnancy and guided me well to make right decisions. I had a normal vaginal delivery and she was very efficient at her work. Her post natal care was equally qualitative.
