Dr. Gaurav Garg, an AIIMS, New Delhi alumnus (MD, Comprehensive Ophthalmology), went on to complete his clinical Fellowship (Ocular Oncology, Oculoplastic, and Aesthetic Surgery) under Dr. Santosh G. Honavar.In pursuit of excellence, he continued his clinical fellowship at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, Mount Sinai, and New York Eye Cancer Center (Clinical Fellowship, Ocular Tumor, Orbital Disease, and Ophthalmic Radiation Therapy), and upon his return to India, was a part of the charitable Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot as Clinical Associate, where he nurtured the eye cancer services. Dr. Garg, in a span of half a decade of practice, holds tremendous expertise in the procedures of Lacrimal drainage surgeries - DCR, DCT, Orbitotomy, Lid Surgeries- Entropion and Ectropion Surgery, Lid reconstruction, Ocular surface surgeries- MMG, AMG, Lid laceration repair, Ptosis Surgeries, Socket Reconstruction. Botox Injections, Ocular Oncology surgeries- Excision biopsy, Incision biopsy, and Debulking, Transpupillary thermotherapy, cryotherapy, and Pediatric examination under Anesthesia especially for Retinoblastoma.Probably the apotheosis for a doctor is when, other doctors with higher years added to their bag of experience look upto him and want to learn and replicate his surgical and medical techniques, which is what the young doctor has experienced more than once.
