Mariella has a warm and friendly demeanour about her that almost instantly puts you at ease. She is unassuming and non-judgmental which makes it fairly easy to open up to her. I went to her with myriad issues and settled on seeking help with couples counseling. After seeing several counselors that did not help our situation, Mariella was proactive in getting us to communicate in a way that saved our marriage. She was able to point out toxic patterns of communication and provided alternative approaches that considerably helped us channel the love we have for each other into communicating with empathy rather than disdain. I have to say, she is excellent. I cannot recommend her enough and will continue seeing her especially while our marriage is in a good place so that we can continue to work on our marriage. I started therapy with Mariella in March 2018. It has been really rewarding working through different issues and concerns with her and I find myself having gained a lot through the process.

I imagine starting therapy is hard for most people. It was definitely hard for me. As someone who did not have first hand experience with therapy, I found working with Mariella really comfortable to speak with. What I particularly like is that the sessions are tailored to my own pace which has really allowed me to explore deeper issues as we go along.
