Lok Clinic And Hospital, Janakpuri

Totally avoid this clinic!

Near my right lower chin, a very small boil surfaced, which swelled & burst open on its own, but didn't clear fully, so I went for this ********* ***** help, i.e. surgical removal of the same!

My ordeal went like this:

November 04, 2019: First visit, Doctor Lokesh Gupta examined it, gave me a medicine and asked me to keep putting Ice pack / Ice on the little boil, so that it reduced in size and then he removed it after a week or so! Paid 600 Rupees for this consultation....... NO PROBLEM!

November 12, 2019: I reported at the clinic once again. He examined, once again recommended the Daadi Maa Ka Nuskha and asked me to continue applying Ice and come again. I pointed out that soon I have to return, (I do not live in India). He said, yes-yes, please continue what I say! He did not charge me any money, so NO PROBLEM!

NOVEMBER 26, 2019: Once again at the clinic. Boil virtually gone, just a minuscule 2mm size visible......The doctor examined and gave Chaachi Ji ka Nuskha this time......said please go and now instead of Ice, apply hot Handkerchief or cloth.....Garam senk karo (Keep aplying hot cloth on it now)

Disappointed, I came out of the clinic and what happens??

A guy comes running out and says, SIR, YOU DIDN'T PAY! ...

I was like What???? For this Sinkaayi Nuskha?? I enter back and protest at reception.

They raise their hands and say what can they do?? Doctor Saab wants me to pay! Not believing them, I enter Doctor's cabin and ask him do I have to pay? He says Yes!

Shocked, I ask how much? He ********** says 500! I pay and come out disappointed.......

DECEMBER 10, 2019

I again go! Don't want to make it long! The boil is all but gone, but Doctor Saab refuses to get up from his chair and stays put in his consultation cabin, and again continues with Chaachi Ji Ka Nuskhaa........yes.....I have to continue putting hot cloth on the boil thing! mercifully, no one asks me for any money as I would have exploded for sure!

JANUARY 02, 2020

Boil hardly there, merely a hard 2mm knot in it's place, I reach clinic and plead with the Doctor,"Sir, I have been coming since November 04th, PLEASE, I have to go back tomorrow! Please remove it today at least!"

Without batting an eyelid the Doctor Lokesh Gupta says,"What?? You are going back? How can I operate? Who will do the dressing there in your country?"

Nonchalantly he says, in that case, you should get it operated there only!

Red-faced and shivering in anger, I march out of his cabin. Looking at annoyance on my face, he doesn't ask any poor staff of his to chase me for payment on the road outside his clinic..................

All I did between November and December is, wasted my time, money on cabs, money on EXPERT CONSULTATIONS of Put Ice packs on the boil.....ok...hot cloth treatment now........continue hot cloth treatment.......and that's it! ******* ** ** *** *** *** *** ********* ***** **** ****** **** **** ******* ****** ** ****** ***** ** *** ******

I had tried to get it removed in India because psychologically, I have this goodwill for better quality healthcare in India than my workplace Russia!************************* ** **** **** * ******** ** *** ******** ** *** ******* *** ******* ******* **** ****** ********************* *** * ******* *** ********* *** ****************** *** ******* *********************** ********* **** *** ******* ****** *********************** So disappointed really!

I usually do not write reviews, but I had such a pleasant experience with Dr. Abhishek that I had to. Yesterday, my nose ring got stuck in my nostril and got infected. It was very painful. Upon examining, Dr. Gupta recommended that I take it out, which was not an easy task given my situation. He managed to do it for me without giving me anaesthesia. After such a long time, I came across **** * ******* *** competent doctor, who seems passionate about his profession. ** ******** competent, and patient. Also, I called him today because I had some queries. What I've seen is that doctors do not entertain queries on call or are generally uninterested, but he was happy to answer all of them for me. Moreover, the staff at Lok Clinic was very cooperative and kind. The receptionist spoke to me with a big smile on her face - sometimes that's all you need in times of distress.

Again, I cannot emphasise enough how good Dr. Abhishek is. He also seemed like a good human being. This doctor and his staff need to be appreciated, celebrated, and recognised. Thank you, doc!

Dr. Astha Sharma is a young & dynamic doctor. I like the way she's so smoothly approachable which is a great comfort factor for me. I will also like to highlight the way she handles me with all the patience and invests time with her patients. Overall she's an extremely graceful and deeply sincere doctor. I am lucky to having cross my ways with her.

We had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Lata Gupta. *** *** ******** *** ********** ********** * ******** ** ***** ***** ********* ** ***************** ******** *** ******** *** *** *** ****** **** **** **** *** *** ******** After my C-section, I was kept in a chaotic surgical ward instead of a proper maternity room, *** **** ** ********* * *********** **** ****** *** ******* ******** ******** ********* *********** *** *************** Not recommended for maternity care.
