Gynaecare Group - Defence Colony Clinic

The Gynaecare Clinic of the Gynaecare group consists of three consultants who are specialists with qualifications from India and U K (all of them being members of RCOG - Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists- London). Dr Urvashi Prasad Jha-the team leader, Dr Neema Sharma and Dr Ramandeep Kaur.The other Gynaecare clinic of the group will be starting at Gurgaon on the 1st of January 2017.Gynaecare team members are invited as faculty at multiple national level and some international academic meetings, CME programmes and workshops. They conduct regular training courses & workshops in basic & advanced laparoscopy, hysteroscopy & vaginal surgery.At the Defence Colony clinic primarily Dr Urvashi Prasad Jha will undertake consultations in the evenings every day of the week, except on sundays, as representative of the group.Notable Accomplishments of the Gynaecare group:• They have advanced skills in vaginal surgeries with a record of performing vaginal hysterectomy for a uterus up to 1.6 kg in women with previous multiple surgeries and record removal of a 7.6Kg ovarian tumour vaginally.• Dr Jha entered the Limca Book of Records on 1 July 1995 for a National Record of “Starting the First Hormone Replacement Therapy clinic in India” (at the P.D. Hinduja hospital, Mumbai).• Earned appreciation by Friendicos-SECA (Society for the Eradication of Cruelty to Animals) for “Kindness & generosity towards the society and Caring for thousands of abandoned & injured animals”.Current Leadership Positions of the team members :• Dr Jha is the National Chairperson of the All India Co ordination Committee of RCOG,UK.• Dr Jha was the past President of The Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Delhi.. Dr Neema Sharma is the current chairperson of the Endoscopy committee of AOGD. Dr Ramandeep Kaur is the current chairperson of the Endometriosis committee of AOGD
