I personally understand the gap between an appointment made and the doc call where doc talk to most of the people and try to help them where as clinic staff just need to maintain the environment in a friendly way. Yes i am mentioning friendly way because the staffs weren't friendly at all or shall i say they don't even know how to respond back to someone who has a query. They need to understand they are on job and the visitors need proper hospitality. Maintain silence phrase is not for them, they need to keep a smile always on their face as they are not working in Intensive care unit (ICU). Please pay respect to the visitors and if you think you are paying and it is just a hatred word then you need to understand in customer (visitor) way and not in your own way.
