Hello. I have intense itching in my vaginal area, and there is a regular, yellowish discharge since past three days. Applied Candiderma several times, but no relief. Unable to visit my family doctor due to Divaali. Any medication or home treatment I can take to help with this please? Thanks.
Yellowish discharge with itching that hasn't settled after using Candiderma points away from a simple yeast infection, since that cream usually helps within a few days if yeast is the cause. Bacterial vaginosis or another infection can look similar but needs a different treatment, so a vaginal swab test would give you a clear answer.
Next Steps
Until you can get seen, wear loose cotton underwear, skip douching or scented washes, and keep the area dry. Please see a gynaecologist as soon as you can once Diwali is over, so you get a swab test and the right treatment.
Health Tips
Go in sooner if you get pelvic pain, fever, or a foul smell to the discharge, since that needs prompt attention.
