It can be one of two things - a misdiagnosed Scaphoid fracture, or a Distal RadioUlnar Joint (DRUJ) ligament injury.

Wrist Injury would heal, but it requires adequate period of Immobilisation and Rest.
If the pain is not reducing, You may be advised to take a Wrist MRI to know for sure where exactly is the injury.
