Surely you have not seen the wound. You don't even know whether the skin in the area is intact or it has got ulcers. The treatment of any disease depends on the diagnosis about the cause of the problem and that can't be made without inspection of the disease process.
So whether you can go to the office or not, please spare some time and effort to go to a Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon in your area for a physical examination and proper diagnosis and further treatment.
