Wound because of dog bite
We have a puppy of 47 days old. My son says that he got dog bite and also he said that because of the sofa edge he got a wound on the backside of ankle. Is it ok to give him anti rabies vaccine of 5 doses if the dog doesnt bite. Will there be any side effects please suggest

If it’s not dog bite then only three doses of anti rabies vaccine are approved for pre exposure vaccine.

Go for prophylactic dose, even if a dog licks, anti rabies vaccine is needed, also do observe the pup if it is keeping well for 10days, then you can skip rest doses.
