Hi doctor, I have a 3 year old son. My neighbour kid(5yr) is bitten by a stray dog( suspect rabies but not sure). They took him to nearby government hospital immediately and they took blood around the bitten area and kept him for 4 hours in the hospital to monitor him. Doctor gave him 8 injections including Tt and scheduled follow up injections for almost a month and he is taking it every week.
Now my concern is my kid plays with him and sometimes they drink water from same bottle by sipping and share snacks too.
Will any infection spread through saliva of the kid?
Should I stop my kid from playing with him? If so, for how long?
