Wisdom teeth often which are located at the back of the mouth, are also difficult to reach when brushing, increasing the areaâs vulnerability to being infected by bacteria. The partial eruption of the wisdom tooth allows for an opening for bacteria to enter around the tooth and for food particles to get stuck. Because of the entrapment of debris in the space between the tooth and the overlapping gum flap, bacteria build up and cause infection.
Proper oral hygiene remains to be the best remedy you can do. Thoroughly and gently brush your teeth to remove plaque and food. However, when symptoms are present or severe, visit the dentist.
Next Steps
Visit the dentist for definite clinical evaluation and treatment.
Health Tips
Maintain good oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and rinsing with mouthwash. Do warm salt-water rinses.

Your concern is very natural regarding the gum flap near your wisdom tooth. The tooth probably is trying to erupt in the mouth or will remain impacted incase it's oddly positioned, confirmation can be done on the xray when you are able to visit the doctor. Untill then the measures your taking are fine. Also keep an SoS painkiller with you.
Next Steps
Do visit the doctor soon and keep a watch on your symptoms.
Health Tips
Ensure no food gets stuck in
there below the gum flap and try to keep the area clean.
Hi,
To take care of the issue ,keep rinsing with mouthwash. Also warm saline water rinsed vigirously in that area will help to remove any food debris stuck between the flap and the tooth. However in the long run you will have to get the flap removed .the procedure is called an operculectomy and will be performed by your dentist.
