Hi Doctor, both my lower wisdom teeth are decayed severely( for one of the tooth, only outer shell is there). I wore braces when I was young but I have gaps in teeth now. Also, my smile is crooked. If the wisdom teeth is extracted will it solve the crooked smile or is that something different? My jaw line is also bad. Let me know if this can be fixed?
Thank You.

Wisdom tooth has no relation to your crooked teeth.it is due to the relapse as you may not have wear your retainer.
You can go for orthodontic treatment again ,it may not take much time to correct,
Another option is you can go fr laminate or crowns.but itcan not give you that natural look.
So think twice before choosing right option.
About 3rd molar, if they are decayed, you can get it filled or extracted whenever you feel like.

No extracting your wisdom tooth is not going to correct your smile. I would advice you to go for ceramic laminates to correct your smile by a procedure called smile designing. Unlike orthodontics this has no chances of relapse. It is more or less permanent solution. Also since you have already undergone orthodontic treatment once I would not advice repeating the same since orthodontic treatment for space closure has high chances of relapse.
You may practo consult so your case can be evaluated in detail and best treatment option can be explained to you
Wisdom tooth should definitely be removed as it is infected and broken. And for for malaligned teeth u need to see a orthodontist or prosthodontist and take opinion
Wisdom teeth will not solve the crooked smile problem. You can remove the decayed wisdom teeth and consult an orthodontist if you require braces treatment again to correct your smile
Hi
Wisdom tooth which was completely decayed is not advisable to retain. Actually its an extra molar tooth which is not used for chewing or esthetics . Its better to remove the tooth ASAP. After removal no need for replacement.
