I hv my left wisdom tooth impacted. Showed it to a dentist he diagnosed pericoronitis and suggested removal of the tooth. I am delaying it as unable to get time. I'm on kerodol dt for last 15 days. Moderate pain and swelling in back of jaw and ear is there. The dentist said there's no swollen lymph node. But still i feel swelling back of the jaw. Is this swelling due to impaction. Please help.

Hello sir...
yes the pain and swelling is definitely due to the impacted teeth only....
Wisdom teeth is one that fails to erupt in its normal position in the given period of time..
CONSEQUENCE OF WISDOM TEETH:
**pericoronitis(Gum inflammation andbleeding)
**Trismus(Difficulty in opening the mouth)
**jaw soreness
**Enlargement of regional lymph nodes
**Cyst formation
**bad breathe
you need to remove the teeth surgically followed by analgesics and antibiotics....Medication is only temporary relief...if you keep on using medication for symptomatic relief, then the bacteria will develop resistance for the particular medicines and it wont work furthur.....
Next Steps
kindly visit dentist immediately and get your wisdom teeth extracted as soon as possible
