Some times improper examination may only give wrong treatment plan. I can suggest few based on scenarios.
1) erupting molar or growing gums - surgical correction of gums ( OPERCULECTOMY)
2) supra eruption of upper 3rd molar's - Extraction of upper 3rd molars
3) Wrongly growing lower 3rd molars - IMPACTION /EXTRACTION of lower 3rd molars

I wish I had your xrays. You may be having pericoronitis because of an impacted third molar. Xray will confirm this. We can do Laser treatment of the flap to resolve the issue. But a clinical evaluation would be required. In the meantime do warm water gargles with Wokadine and do take an antibiotic course. Feel free to consult Laser Smile Care Centre. God bless u.
Do warm saline rinses ,and visit your dentist . He will prescribe you appropriate medicine after observing you clinically. You may require extraction of offending tooth or gums recontouring.
Hello..Gum swelling around wisdom tooth is treated by either operculectomy(removal of gum tissue around your tooth for self cleansing of that area and to prevent decay of tooth) or by removal of tooth as long term solution.kindly visit nearby dentist.
The term used for your problem is pericoronitis...... it can be treated by reshaping of the gums in the area if the tooth has sufficient eruption potential..... or if the tooth is impacted, surgical extraction will be the only treatment option for a long term permanent solution..... an x-ray called OPG will be able to help us finalize the best option out of these two..... Regards.....
