Winter care
My child is 3.5months old. He sweats a lot while sleeping even in this cold weather. We stay in Ahmedabad and the temperature is about 18°.I am quiet confused with the kind of dressing he should do or what kind of blanket he should use. Please help!

Avoid giving early bath, use sufficiently warm water for bath and immediately dry and apply moisturizing lotion and later frequently. Avoid head bath frequently. Avoid taking baby out early mornings and evenings.
Avoid over covering which may cause sweating. Use one layer of clothes extra for your baby than you are comfortable with. Use one woolen one and cap and socks with mitten. If very cold still, use a room heater carefully as suitable.
Use thick blanket but don't cover face and keep neck area loose. Have enough ventilation in room and avoid suffocated.
If child is comfortable and not irritatated or crying, it means enough warmth.

If hands and feet are cold, bluish or baby is very irritatated, visibly shivering or having breathing issues, please visit Pediatrician immediately.
