Will these develop tolerance
Will I develop desensitization if I use these daily for sleep? I have trouble sleeping and I am planning to use these daily: Melatonin 3 mg Magnesium glycinate 2000 mg L-theanine 100 mg My doubts are very basic: If I take these every night, will my body get used to them? Will they stop working after some time? Do they cause tolerance  like sleeping pills? Is it safe for long-term daily use, or should they be taken with breaks?

Hey, all these things which you are taking is something that the body requires naturally and is made in the body naturally. So, no your body needs them, so there is no question of being used to. Once your body starts regulating hormones like melatonin there will be no need for supplementation from outside. As it's natural, it does not cause tolerance too.

Melatonin supplements are used for insomnia , usually in problems affecting the circadian rhythm(jet lag/shift working etc). However it is used in delayed onset sleep issues as well. It is not known to cause physical dependance or tolerance. However after a period of time patient may develop psychological dependance. It is usually prescribed as daily dosing and not to be taken on breaks. However you need to keep in mind that these supplements may not be effective in sleep disturbances due to other health conditions.

• Tolerance/dependence: These do not cause tolerance or physical dependence like sleeping pills (benzodiazepines/Z-drugs). • Melatonin (3 mg): Safe for daily use. Usually doesn’t lose effect. Psychological reliance can happen. Many people do well on lower doses (0.5–2 mg). • Magnesium glycinate: Safe long term. 2000 mg refers to compound, not elemental magnesium—usually fine. No tolerance. • L-theanine (100 mg): Safe, non-habit forming, no tolerance. • Breaks needed? Not mandatory. You may try occasional breaks to reassess need. • If sleep still poor: Look for underlying causes (anxiety, depression, sleep apnea, poor sleep hygiene). If insomnia persists beyond 2–3 weeks, medical evaluation is advised.
