Does melatonin also develop tolerance like other sleep medicines for example clonazepam and some other? Or it doesn't develop tolerance

Melatonin does not develop tolerance as per studies. However, in some patients after a good response for a few months it may become less effective than before. As per one study it may be due to the slowing down of melatonin metabolism. In this case dose reduction may be required after which melatonin again starts to work like initially.
