Dr. Jitesh Bhatt MD (Opinion / Guidance)
A white bump on the foreskin that has started today is most commonly due to a minor local issue, not necessarily an STD.
✅ Most common causes (harmless / temporary)
1. Blocked oil gland / sebaceous gland (Fordyce spot)
2. Small pimple due to sweat, friction, shaving or tight underwear
3. Mild balanitis (local irritation / fungal infection) – especially if there is itching, redness, or moisture.
4. Friction injury after masturbation or intercourse.
⚠️ When it can be an STD
Herpes: usually painful, burning, and forms multiple small blisters.
Genital warts: cauliflower-like, slowly growing (not sudden in 1 day).
Molluscum: small dome-shaped bumps, often multiple.
🧠 Important point
If it appeared suddenly today, it is more likely irritation, pimple, or mild infection, rather than warts.

Most such bumps settle in a few days with hygiene and dryness.
If it persists, a physical examination by a dermatologist/venereologist is the best step.
