Dear Ma'am, Thank you for your query regarding white discharge also known as leukhorrhea. Leukhorrhea is a common complaint seen in women over all reproductive age groups and often cause persistent anxiety and discomfort to many. Regarding the possibility of pregnancy: Please do a urinary pregnancy test to confirm. Most women have a variation of 5 -7 days in their cycle which is okay. White discharge doesn't provide definitive diagnosis of pregnancy. Most discharges are a normal manifestation of the cyclical hormonal changes in the body during a menstrual cycle. In a women with a 28 day cycle. First 7 days: Minimal 7-14 days: Gradually increasing 14 th Day: Profuse and sticky,  also called spinnenbarkt. After 14 th day till period: Thicker and progressively scant. If this discharge is not itchy, foul smelling or changes color like yellow, curdy white it is normal and a simple panty shield would provide comfort. However, as you have described a curdy discharge please visit your Gynaecologist to rule out possible Candiasis. Simple vulvar hygiene measures and avoidance of perfumes and products would help. Also if you have unprotected intercourse please, talk to your Gynaecologist regarding sexually transmitted infections screening as they have important implications on your future reproductive health. Best Wishes, Aditi
