There are 2 different types of Esthetic crowns...
1.Metal ceramic crown(porcelain(tooth coloured material) is fused to underlying metal substructure)
2.zirconia crown(crystals of zirconium dioxide, which is nothing but a diamond crystal material)
METAL CERAMIC CROWN:
ADVANTAGE:
** Biocompatible(Doesnt cause any reaction to oral tissues)
**Aesthetically pleasing
**Hardness is good because of underlying metal substructure..
**Reasonable price..
DISADVANTAGE:
**Dark line on tooth structure because of metal substructure
**If the biting force exceeds,the porcelain will chip off and it will expose underlying metal structyre whch will be unaesthetic...
** More tooth trimming is necessary (because it has metal substructure and tooth coloured porcelain over it)
ZIRCONIA CROWNS...
It is nothing but METAL FREE crowns.....
ADVANTAGE:
**Durability( extraordinary strong)
** withstand much biting force than metal ceramic crown...
** More aesthetic th

Metal crown
Metal ceramic crown...
Complete ceramic also known as zirconia crown...
All these crown are made by lab technician...so the quality and pricing depends on how good the technician is and the brand of company manufacturing...the crown...
I would advice you to go for a zirconia crown...as right now it's the best in class and comfort...
The price of zirconia crowns can vary from 6500 to 8500
