What to do with polyp
The ent told me today that i am a surgery candidate but he wants to try steroids. Cortimax 12 and a steroid spray for 3 weeks. And montek fx too. I want another opinion too. I have a few queries: It is written sinusitis, isn't that infection? Eating steroid tablets can cause low immunity and can cause infection??(had a severe throat infection in past while on prednisolone hence asking). If i don't go for surgery, will it grow and affect the nearby structures? I am scared, why did this happen to me :(. I dont smoke or drink. Please guide me

Sinusitis is a condition in which the air filled cavities around the nasal passages called paranasal sinus become inflamed. Acute sinusitis can be triggered by a cold or allergies and may resolve on its own. Chronic sinusitis lasts up to eight weeks and may be caused by an infection.
Next Steps
Steroid is given when infection subsides. It is given to reduce inflammation and swelling. Hence it's beneficial. Surgery is one stop solution to treat sinusitis but it may recur after infection or allergy.
