Wet Cough and mucus
Hi Doctors, Im 45 years old and suffering from morning cold and sneezing since childhood. I used to take Cetirizine during my school and college days. Then Levocetrizine. Monthly 2-4 tablets.  From last 10 years im taking Montecope whenever I feel too sneezing and running nose and within 1-2 hours i feel better.. From the last 1 month i have stopped taking Montecope and im experiencing too much of mucus and phelgm... My throat is full when I woke up early morning. After every meal I feel to split phelgm/mucus. And whenever I exhale wheezing sound is coming from nose and when I exhale from mouth also... When i take deep breathe, I feel some vibration in my lungs...  Im really very worried how to get rid of this wheezing sound from lungs and get rid of unstoppable phelgm/mucus... Please reply in detail. Can this be cured by allopathy or homeopathy? I never had this long cough issue before. Pls don't advise for just consultation. Is this the side effects of taking levocetrizine/Montecope?

It seems that you often have issues with your stomach, which has led to a disturbance in your Apana Vayu (downward-moving energy). For this, you need to consult a Vaidya who can take your full medical history and suggest the right medication accordingly. Also, since you’ve been taking Cetirizine for so many years, your body may have accumulated some toxic effects from it, and a proper detox is necessary. One piece of advice I’d like to give is—when you go for Panchakarma, please avoid hospitals that offer treatment through insurance cards, because there’s no guarantee that you’ll receive authentic Ayurvedic care at such places.

Your symptoms indicate a chronic Vata-Kapha imbalance in the respiratory system. Long-term antihistamine use may have suppressed symptoms but didn’t address the root cause. Now, excess mucus, wheezing, and throat congestion suggest aggravated Kapha. Avoid cold, sour, and heavy foods. Try warm herbal teas (Tulsi, ginger), steam inhalation, and turmeric milk at night. Ayurveda offers effective solutions with Sitopaladi, Talisadi, and Haridrakhandam, along with detox therapies like Nasya. This condition can be managed and improved naturally with consistent Ayurvedic care.
