Please provide the weight of the child with age in months for better understanding. Aptivate syp is just to stimulate the diet. Any disease should be ruled out first.
Next Steps
Then find the cause of not gaining weight. If the cause is only leas diet then you can give aptivate.

Please check weight. Should gain 2kg in 5th yr and about 3kg in 6th yr. If not eating check for anaemia
Next Steps
Give high calorie, high protein food. Iron syrup if suggestive of iron deficiency anemia. Deworm

What is his height? We have to plot it on the normal graph and check. Aptivate is ayurvedic. We are allopathic so we cannot say whether it will help or not. What was your weight when you were a child? (Childs parents ) If parents were thin in childhood, the child may also be thin. He may pick up later or during teenage. Please consult directly for guidance

What is the current weight of the child? Usually food is the only determining factor of weight gain. Nothing else will contribute to it. Food rich in fats and proteins should be given. Give egg and nonveg if you are non vegetarian
