Weight and Bath

My baby is 15 days old. At birth his weight is 2.450 Kg but after having stool for continues 2 days his weight reduced to 200 gm. As per doctor's advice we continued medication for colic and few supplements along with brestmilk. Is it safe to bath the baby under this weight. As doctor mentioned bath after the baby put on weight upto 3kg. Please advice.

Baby can be given bath above 2 kg if the umbilical cord has fallen off.
And if scared or not comfortable bathing the child you can always give Sponge bath the baby till the child is 3kg and then give a normal bath.
