It's acute gastroenteritis
Plenty of oral fluids, continue ORS, monitor your BP and immediately go to nearby hospital to further assessment and if required then intravenous fluids resuscitation and antibiotics coverage
This is acute gastroenteritis due to mostly food poisoning
Next Steps
Take electral powder in 200ml water after every stool.
Tab redotil 100 mg bd
Tablet oflox oz morning night after food for three days
Econorm sachet three times a day in one glass of water for two days
Health Tips
Avoid spicy foods coffe tea
Best diet
Bananas
Curd rice
Two idlis
The frequent loose motion associated with weakness indicates that you are dehydrated.Though you are taking ors ,it may not be enough.Ideally you should visit a hospital or a medical center in your area for intravenous fluids and investigation
This is acute gastroenteritis, likely due to food or water infection.
Since motions reduced from 20 → 5 today, the illness is already improving, but weakness occurs due to fluid and electrolyte loss.
Next Steps
Cap Racecadotril (Redotil) 100 mg – three times daily before food for 3 days
• ORS – 1 glass after every loose stool
• Tab Ofloxacin + Ornidazole – twice daily for 3 days (if diarrhea persists)
• Probiotic (Sporolac/Vizylac) – twice daily for 3 days
Health Tips
Eat rice, curd, banana, toast, khichdi
• Avoid milk, oily, spicy food
• Drink 3–4 liters fluids/day

Dear Patient,
You may be having acute gastroenteritis with dehydration, especially with such frequent watery stools and weakness.
Continue ORS in small frequent sips; avoid oily, spicy, and outside food.
Since weakness is persisting, you may need medical evaluation for dehydration and further treatment.
If you have fever, vomiting, blood in stool, severe abdominal pain, or low urine output, seek urgent care.
Online consultation can help guide medicines, hydration, and warning signs properly.

Having 18–20 watery stools initially and still continuing today suggests acute gastroenteritis, most likely due to food contamination or a viral infection. The main risk in this situation is dehydration and electrolyte loss, which is why you are feeling weakness.
Medicines like Redotil (racecadotril) help reduce intestinal secretion and are generally safer than anti-motility drugs like Lomofen. Since the stool frequency has already decreased from ~20 to about 5 today, it suggests the illness may be starting to settle, but proper hydration and supportive treatment are essential.
Next Steps
Continue **Redotil 100 mg three times daily before meals for 3 days.
Drink **Oral Rehydration Solution frequently — small sips every 5–10 minutes. Aim for at least 2–3 liters in 24 hours.
Add a probiotic such as **Saccharomyces boulardii or **Lactobacillus twice daily for 3–5 days.
Eat light food:
• rice or khichdi
• banana
• curd or buttermilk
• toast
Avoid milk, oily food, spicy food, alcohol, and outside food for 2–3 days.
Seek medical care urgently if any of these occur:
• fever above 101°F
• blood or mucus in stool
• severe abdominal pain
• vomiting preventing fluid intake
• dizziness or reduced urination
Health Tips
During acute diarrhea, rehydration is more important than stopping stools immediately. ORS works better than plain water because it replaces lost electrolytes.
Avoid repeatedly taking anti-diarrheal drugs like Lomofen, as they can sometimes trap infection inside the intestine.
Most viral gastroenteritis improves within 48–72 hours with hydration and supportive care.
If the diarrhea continues beyond 3 days, stool tests and a doctor’s evaluation may be needed.
If you want, you can also book a quick online consultation so I can assess your hydration status and guide you on whether additional medicines or tests are needed for faster recovery.
Acute watery diarrhea is usually due to a gastrointestinal infection.
Since frequency has reduced today, it suggests gradual improvement.
Continue ORS frequently to prevent dehydration.
Take light diet – rice, curd, banana, toast; avoid oily/spicy foods.
Continue Racecadotril (Redotil) as prescribed for loose stools.
Add a probiotic for 3–5 days to restore gut flora.
Next Steps
Persistent vomiting
Fever or blood in stools
Severe weakness or dizziness
Diarrhea continues >3 days
you may need clinical examination and basic blood tests to assess dehydration.
