Watery greenish diarrhea
Sir, my son is 3 years old . He suffering from watery greenish diarrhea, shall I give him Zenflox-oz syrup and EConorm sachet. Kindly suggest me.

Greetings. Give OR in econorm.every two hours.you may giveZenflox, but I dont like giving strong drugs.Add Banana.light diet.Lots of fluids If there is any problem,consult with prior Appointment. Take careof Hygiene.

Hello. Ideally, antibiotics are needed in diarrhoea only if you have blood in stool or stool culture is positive. So, for your child no antibiotic is needed. Just go for Econorm sachet and Zn 20 syrups. Give plenty of fluids, ORS, coconut water. No milk or juice till motion settles down. Prefer, rice based food.
Next Steps
watch for blood in stool and watch for his hydration.
