Watery eye
Water/ tears coming from one eye. Baby is 13 months old. Right from the birth water comes from left eye. Doctor recommended to massage the eye in a pattern and it will be reduced slowly. Massages are done regularly and still water comes from the eye.
Do we need to go for surgery or continue with massage?

Most children recover from this condition called congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction, by the end of one year. Even after correct massage, a small number of people still need surgical intervention. Initially, Probing, done under anaesthetic, is tried. If not successful, DCR surgery (dacryocystorhinostomy), or silastic tube implant surgery may be required.
