9 months baby watery eyes
Good day Doc, my baby is 9 months now. Right from birth her eyes are running.Peadiatrician suggested to massage the eyes to open up the closed ducts. But this procedure seems not working for her. Now the peadiatrician is suggesting to perform a small surgery. He said it is a simple operation but we are afraid as it involves the eyes. Could you please guide me should we really opt for operation? Can you please suggest some specialist paediatric eye doctor around hyderabad. Can you please describe the operation procedure and outcome, recovery time after the procedure? Thanks a lot

Case of COND, take your child  with mother to some experienced ophthmologist who will train your wife how to do lacrimal sac massage, your child is already 9 months old ,it is already too late & it will respond.

hello. The tear duct obstruction usually clears for most babies by one year of age. The massage should be done appropriately. If not after one year probing is recommended under anesthesia. Its safe and success rate is high. I reside in Bangalore so i cant suggest surgeon at your place. But kindly see an pediatric ophthalmologist for further advice.
