Hip replacement surgery is one of the most successful surgeries. This is commonly advised on the severity of pain rather than stage on X-ray. If you are experiencing severe pain and great limitation in your movements discuss the option of hip replacement surgery with an orthopedician in person before going ahead with the surgery. There are different types of hip prostheses available. Normally patients are mobilised on second post operative day. They can go back to their work with in 45-60 days. They are not advised to squat or sit cross legged on floor.
