Your vitamin B12 level of 152 is low and tingling or burning type pain in both legs can occur with B12 deficiency. Two injections may not be enough to correct the deficiency, especially when neurological symptoms are present. However, muscle cramps and leg pain can also have other causes, so they should not automatically be attributed only to B12.
Next Steps
Continue B12 replacement as advised by your treating doctor and get evaluated for vitamin D, CBC, thyroid function, blood sugar and electrolytes. If the tingling persists, an examination is needed to assess sensation, reflexes and muscle power.
Health Tips
Recovery of tingling after correcting B12 can take several weeks. If you develop increasing numbness, weakness, difficulty walking or balance problems, consult a doctor promptly.
A vitamin B12 level of 152 pg/mL is low, and tingling/burning sensations in the legs can occur with B12 deficiency. However, after only two injections, symptoms may not improve immediately—nerve-related symptoms can take several weeks or longer to settle. Muscle cramps can also have other causes, so persistent pain should not automatically be attributed only to B12 deficiency.
Next Steps
Continue B12 treatment as prescribed by your doctor and get reviewed to confirm the appropriate injection schedule and the cause of the deficiency. Depending on your examination, your doctor may also consider checking CBC, folate, vitamin D, thyroid function, blood sugar and electrolytes such as calcium/magnesium.
Health Tips
Maintain good hydration, gentle calf stretching and avoid prolonged sitting. Seek prompt medical attention if you develop increasing numbness, weakness, difficulty walking, severe back pain, bowel/bladder symptoms, or rapidly worsening symptoms.
