Hello There.
i can understand your concern,
if there is any deficiency of vitamin b complex, vitamin d3 or calcium. then you will have symptoms of generalised body pains, weakness, joint pains etc.
While there are tests to find out if you have any such deficiency, its not necessary to get these done in order to treat as an average indian is always deficient in these nutrients.
if you still want to get it done, serum calcium, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12 can be determined by some standard reputed labs, but be aware that the tests will be expensive.
have lots of greens, fruits and vegetables.
have a high protein diet. have stuff made of ragi. have milk and milk products.
get sun exposure for natural production of vitamin d3 in your body.
best regards,
Dr. Anil kumar jain.
Hi there....yes there tests done for estimation of serum vitamin d3 and serum calcium. It is done in many diagnostic centers. But they will expensive, especially serum vitamin d3. It will be around 2000rs. Kindly confirm with your doctor once if you need it to be done. Also remember that Indians have a tendency to have low serum vitamin d3. Hope this helps you. You can take tablet. Vitamin d3 60000IU, 1 tablet per week for 6 weeks in case of deficiency.
