Not only hair, any foreign body falling into the eye will cause damage to the eye.
Just the hair coming infront of the eye per se doesn't cause any damage.
No, long hair in front of eye will not cause vision loss. But I would suggest you not to allow your hair come in your viewing area. You will have strain and postural neck problems. Please tie your hair accordingly.
