I work in the IT and have to work for more than 8-9 hours on the computer everyday. I use eye drops to lubricate my eyes. The problem I have is, my vision gets blurry after working for some time on the computer, it then takes hours to adjust to normal after i stop looking at the screen. My eyes are fine in the morning when I wake up but as the day goes by and I read or look at the screen, the vision gets blurry. Sometimes the burry vision stays for days. Is there anything I can do?

This is due to muscle weakness of convergence and accommodation.
So you should do convergence exercise with pen in morning for 10 min.
And follow rule of 20 - after every 20 min of computer work , take rest for 20 sec and look at 20 meter means far distance.
Brightness of the screen should be less.
Airflow of the AC should be away from the eyes
Next Steps
consult for futher details - as I am a strabismologist - knowing more about accomodation
Pl continue lubricant eye drops. Pl have vision test and slitlamp eye examination. Pl do Eye exercises as suggested by specialist. Pl take Rest in between. If possible, decrease the screen time.pl consult ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment.
It could be due to accommodation of eye muscle. Keep taking frequent breaks to prevent it, every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break and look at a distant object 20 feet away.
Maintain right posture while using computer.
Continue lubricating drop.
Keep yourself hydrated.
Blink more often.
Next Steps
get a routine eye examination, to check for glass number, by local ophthalmologist
