Very painful lump on tongue
I’ve recently noticed this lump/bump/hole on the back of my tongue almost near my throat. Really not sure what it is & It’s very painful which is making it hard for me to eat/drink etc, i’ve been taking pain medication for around three days to try and ease the pain but nothing seems to work. Just wondering if you can help.

It could be the inflammation of your tonsils. Eat smooth foods, gargle with warm salt water, pain relievers such as ibuprofen.

Can u plz send the pic of the lesion, then only  advice can be given because they may be due to stress, viral, fungal infection. Also plz mention the duration of it. Analgesics wont give you releif. For the time being apply Dologel there and leave it for 15 min.  Also do so 15 min before eating. Do chlohex (chlorhexidine ) mouth rinses 3 times a day to limit the subsequent infection.
