Vertigo problem
My father aged 50 years,is having a problem of vertigo since few days..Initially he experienced dizziness while getting up from bed after lying down in morning only,but since last three days,his dizziness has increased...Hes experiencing dizziness while getting up from chair,and also when turning sides while sleeping(more on right side)..Today morning he vomited also..Hes currently on following medications:- Aztor 20mg,once daily at night(since last 5 months),tab vertin 16mg,one tab thrice daily,tab pan-D(these two medicines have been prescribed by family physician because of  vertigo problem)after having medications,hes not getting very much relief...He has subclinical hypothyroidism,for which hes on homeopathic medicine,tab thyroidinum...Blood tests done on 24th November 2019,reports were ok..Kindly tell me what should be done for his relief..Which specialty doctor should I visit..please answer

You should visit ENT specialist. Its probably BPPV. Epleys meneuver will be helpful. Otherwise continue tab Vertin to 32mg

Vertigo is a problem which can have multiple system in involvement. A detailed history and examination and ruling out a psychological bias in very important to make a diagnosis of the vertigo. Also differentiating between vertigo and its mimics like giddiness and dizziness is important for proper management.
