Venlor d is desvenlafaxine. It is an antidepressant in the class SNRI, serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor. It works by increasing levels of the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain which are proven to be low in depression. It is also used to treat several other disorders like anxiety, neurologic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, etc Whether mild or not depends on dose. If by mild you mean less efficacious then no its not mild, its potent and a good antidepressant. If by mild you mean you mean less side effects, then..you could say yes..it is fairly safe with no serious side effects
